Founded in 1966 by visionaries Jerry Schluckbier and Bob Higginbotham, JSI Consulting has established itself as a beacon of innovation and dedication in the Manufacturing Representation landscape. Our journey began with a keen focus on the retailer S.S. Kresge Company, setting the stage for a monumental partnership with Kmart. This relationship not only marked our first significant stride into the retail world but also became a cornerstone for our growth, with Kmart emerging as the largest retailer of its time. Our commitment to managing business within the confines of Kmart solidified our reputation, even as we witnessed the eventual closure of the retail giant.

Recognizing the need to diversify and expand, JSI Consulting ventured into the Farm & Ranch retail sector, which led to the opening of our second office in Nashville. This strategic move aimed at servicing Tractor Supply Company’s flourishing business. Our Nashville office, reflecting our adaptability and foresight, further extended its services to another major retailer in the Mass sector, Dollar General, thereby enhancing our footprint in the retail industry.

The evolution of retail has always been at the forefront of our strategy. JSI Consulting has continuously embraced technological advancements in reporting and analytics, offering more than the traditional Manufacturing Representation agency approach. Our commitment to innovation was further demonstrated in 2022 with the opening of our third office in Memphis, TN, to accommodate the growing demands of our Automotive business with AutoZone.

2024 marked another significant milestone in our expansion journey by adding two new offices. One in Atlanta to support the growing needs of Home Depot. The other, our first international venture, in Monterrey, MX, opened to service the expanding Latin American market. These expansions are a testament to our adaptive nature and ability to thrive in the challenging and ever-changing retail market.
